Melbourne and its surrounds may be inline to benefit from an additional low cost, budget airline flying direct between Melbourne and Macau.
Viva Macau is a low cost airline and is already offering cheap flights between Macau and Sydney. Viva Macau have recently taken ownership of a new Boeing 767 aircraft and is in discussions with Melbourne Airport and the Victorian Government about adding Melbourne to its flight schedules it the near future. While Melbourne would be the preferred new flight route for Viva Macau, they are also in discussions with other Australian airports.
